FAQs

It's a direct connection that lets you see and use all the media in your Frame.io projects right inside your LucidLink filespace, making it instantly available for editing without any downloads.

The Frame.io app is for review and approval. To edit that media, you have to download it. Our integration skips that entire step. The media streams directly from the cloud into your editing software (like Premiere Pro or Resolve) as if it were on a local drive.

Any post-production team using Frame.io, especially with Camera to Cloud. It’s ideal for teams of editors, designers or artists accessing the same large files across locations.

No. Files from Frame.io are read-only in LucidLink. You can’t move, rename or delete them, ensuring your source media stays intact.

Yes. All data accessed via the integration counts toward your LucidLink storage capacity and is billed at standard rates.

Use the Frame.io media as your source footage in a non-destructive editing workflow. All your new work — project files, renders, graphics — is “saved as” new files into the regular read/write (“work in progress”) area of your LucidLink filespace. When you’re done, just reupload to Frame as you normally would through the Frame interface (convenience feature to upload within the filespace coming in future releases).
