Your files, faster.
Access any file instantly, anywhere. Collaborate in real-time from one always-up-to-date, secure cloud filespace.
We’re wrapping up the year with updates across desktop, web and mobile to make your workflows faster, more reliable and easier to manage. Consider it your early present from our team.
From faster performance and smarter caching to smoother onboarding and tighter admin controls, these updates will increase your team’s productivity today and well into 2026.
Take control of your filespaces
Bandwidth management for filespaces (now on the new LucidLink)
We are excited to bring bandwidth management to our latest 3.x version! Set granular speed limits to prevent one large upload from monopolizing your connection, guaranteeing performance for every user and every critical business application, even during peak activity.
What you can do: set maximum upload and download speed limits for your filespaces, either globally or locally.
Why it matters: prevent network congestion and ensure bandwidth is available for essential tools like VoIP and video conferencing, even during peak activity.
Where to find it: filespace settings (web & desktop client).
Simplify enterprise access: multidomain SSO support (now on the new LucidLink)
Large enterprises can now manage users across multiple domains within a single LucidLink account.

This simplifies identity management for organizations with complex structures, acquisitions or global offices, while maintaining centralized control through your existing SSO provider.
Performance that scales with your team
These optimizations focus on reducing latency and improving efficiency, helping teams get productive faster, especially in demanding editing and engineering workflows.
Improved cache read performance: reading data from the local cache is now significantly faster, instantly boosting your time-to-productivity in editing and engineering workflows.
Supercharged memory: we quadrupled the default in-memory cache size (from 64MiB to 256MiB) for faster access to files and metadata, ensuring zero-wait performance is reliably sustained.
Enhanced service scalability: backend services are now hardened to support a higher number of parallel connections, delivering more consistent performance and stability at scale.
Improved upgrade tool reliability
No more stalled upgrades when you're racing to finish a project. We’ve made your software upgrade process even more robust and reliable.
Better handling of complex filesystem structures: now seamlessly supports extremely dense directories for smoother upgrade experiences.
Optimized concurrent processing: refined directory traversal algorithms provide faster processing with improved stability.
TeamCache is now available (now on the new LucidLink)
We’re excited to announce that TeamCache (our high-performance, onsite caching solution) for early access is available for new customers running on LucidLink 3.x.

If you were on the waitlist, look out for your activation details soon. For all other 3.x customers interested in learning more about TeamCache, sign-up here.
Mobile updates: work from anywhere, instantly
Your mobile workflow is now more resilient and convenient than ever.

In-folder search: search for files and folders within the current folder.
Updated design: the app’s interface has been updated with the Liquid Glass design for a refreshed look and feel.
Background downloads (iOS 26+): files will now persistently download even if you switch apps or lock your screen.
Enhanced folder deletion: you can now delete non-empty folders, with the process supported in the background.
Rename: you can now rename files and folders directly within the app.
General improvements: this release also includes various bug fixes and performance enhancements for a more stable experience.
Download the latest version (v3.3.12 / v3.3.9) on the App Store here.
Android new release
Invite link support: join teams and accept workspace invitations directly by simply tapping an invite link.
Multiple selection and operations: we've introduced multiple selection, enabling you to perform batch operations like multiple move, multiple copy to, multiple delete, multiple share and multiple download.
Move operation: added support for the move operation.
Search in the current folder: you can now search within the currently opened folder. (Note: these three features are at risk of being delayed beyond this release.)
What’s new: accept invitation flow and bug fixes.

LucidLink API: more control for admins
Admins now have better visibility and easier integration with enterprise tools. This release includes new features, improvements and important fixes:
New features & improvements: added currentStorageSize field to filespace response objects to display storage usage and improved performance of permission listing operations.
ARM64 architecture support added (introduced multi-platform docker build).
General improvements & fixes
Case-sensitive group names: group names are now case sensitive (e.g., "Marketing" vs. "marketing"), allowing more precise user management.
Fuse allow other (Linux-only): for our Linux power users, we have added a new FileSystem.FuseAllowOtherLinux configuration setting. This allows mounting with the crucial allow_other mount option (now on the new LucidLink).
Synchronization reliability: resolved a rare issue that could lead to file inconsistencies when multiple clients operated on the same file near midnight, ensuring perfect data integrity 24/7.
Audit trail permissions: audit trail access permissions now update in real-time when a user's role is changed (eliminating the previous requirement for an application restart).
macOS terminal fix: resolved an issue where Ctrl-C could not stop the lucid process from the command line in various scenarios.
These updates are all about keeping your workflows fast, reliable and headache-free so you can focus on the important work. Log in today to unwrap your December release.
